Lacy Brejcha has been an elementary education teacher for 16 years. She graduated from Baylor University in 2002. She has taught grades pre-k through 5th, served as an elementary GT teacher, and Makerspace teacher (Innovation and Enrichment). She has also been an Instructional Technologist as well as a district GT Coordinator. She published her first book, in the spring of 2018, with Prufrock Press, "Makerspaces In School: A Month-by-Month Schoolwide Model for Building Meaningful Makerspaces" (ISBN 978-1-61821-780-6). Lacy has been married to Jim for 16 years and they have two daughters. Brooke who is 12 years old and Grace who is 8 years old. After building a successful Makerspace, she is excited to share how a Makerspace can work in your classroom, campus, or as a school wide model.
